In April 2014, I finished my second quilt for Sravasti Abbey. As a Buddhist originally from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, I have a special place in my heart for the Abbey, which was the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery for Western nuns and monks established in the United States. It was founded in 2003 by Venerable Thubten Chodron, a fully ordained Buddhist nun of American birth (for her online teachings, see http://thubtenchodron.org/).
This second quilt I named “Mountain Lakes” for the pattern, which I developed myself. I received another lovely thank you note from the Abbey.

How beautiful! I love the pattern and the colors.
